Forte Micro designs and manufactures electronic components and systems for leading American companies in an array of industries, including national defence, aerospace, medical, automotive, and more. A new acquisition and steady growth prompted the need for a rebrand and we were aptly positioned to work with them through the process.
- Visual Identity
The name Forte (pronounced fort) is derived from the French word for strength, typically referred to in the context of one’s talent or ability. The shield, formed by circuits and pads found in microchips creates a unique icon that correlates with defensive strength, also tying into one of the primary industries Forte Micro serves: national defence.
The information architecture of the new website was structured to serve user groups within Forte Micro’s spectrum through efficient pathways—from the innovative start-up to the Fortune 500 client. A wealth of capabilities, real-world case studies and complex engineering/manufacturing services meant that content needed to be boiled down into easy-to-navigate segments for optimal readability. Custom animations, icons and visual elements were employed to work in concert with written content, creating a symphonic composition and enjoyable browsing experience.
The new visual identity helps to reinforce capability, relevance, and credibility as a player in the international microelectronics market. This message speaks to both new and existing clients in Forte Micro’s growing portfolio, which includes respected names like Lockheed Martin, Siemens, Ecolab, and Textron, to name a few.
