WHO WE ARE
Alright, we cleaned up for picture day so you should probably have a look.
Why we do what we do
We believe all organizations should have access to first-class, full-service marketing support and that business is about more than just making a profit — it’s an opportunity to make a difference. We care about giving back to our community by sponsoring various non-profit organizations, buying local whenever possible, and supporting community events. We also work hard to use sustainable printing methods, recycled paper, and natural inks to contribute to an eco-friendly environment.
Our team
Our organization is family owned and operated, driven by a dedicated group of talented, creative people with unique skillsets. It is also driven by coffee. Lots of it.

Tabitha Goodman
Client Services & Direct Mail
Tabitha comes to us from Saskatchewan where her first job was at the local newspaper. Here she found her passion for print, marketing and customer service.
She’s part of our “first impressions” team, greeting customers, invoicing completed projects and dusting off her proofreading skills.
When not at work, Tabitha can be found exploring hiking trails with her husband and two dogs, binging a true crime series on Netflix or reading historical nonfiction books. She’s a self-proclaimed foodie who loves experimenting with Pinterest recipes or coming up with her own “food inventions”; but would also be just as happy to have dessert for every meal of the day.
A “fun fact” about Tabitha (other than the fact that she loves “fun facts”) – she’s a Grey Cup Champion and has the ring to prove it!

Matt Penner
Marketing Advisor
Matt has a passion for building new relationships, and developing creative solutions with our fantastic team. After graduating with a B. Comm (Hons) from the Asper School of Business, he amassed over 15 years in the professional marketing field supporting both large multinationals and smaller nonprofits. Following this he felt the calling to start Three-Six North Marketing, the advisory division of Print Studio One, to assist clients with comprehensive marketing services.
Since earning his commercial pilot’s license, Matt has had the opportunity to introduce over 150 people to the gift of flight through various events. He and his wife Lindsey enjoy spending weekends outdoors exploring and adventuring together.
Matt has been named one of MEDA’s top 20 under 35 Young Professionals Changing the World, and volunteers on various boards and committees including the Steinbach Flying Club, Mission in Aviation Fellowship Canada, Steinbach Chamber of Commerce and the Bethesda Foundation.

Brandon Solheim
Digital Projects Coordinator
Brandon manages our web projects and provides client support for all of our digital services. His wealth of information has resulted in customer satisfaction all around – even answering our own computer and software questions. He is an extremely patient person which can be seen in how he treats others and as well as when he appears at coffee break and begins to methodically decipher his latest cryptic novel.
Brandon is known around the office for his clever puns and wearing his ‘Friday Fish shirt’. He also really likes chocolate chip cookies as it is the only recognized cookie in the ‘Hall of Desserts’.
When he’s not at work, Brandon enjoys tinkering with tech and computers as well as playing board games with his friends and family.

Colin Enns
Creative Director
Creative director by day, hockey player by night, brand virtuoso always – Colin’s meticulous work and passion for good design and communications helps organizations realize their full brand potential. Although his post-secondary studies began in digital multimedia design, Colin’s academics extended into Civil Engineering and project management (weird hey?), leading to a career in industrial construction that took him through the wild, untamed corners of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Freelance creative work was always on the go during this time and he was eventually re-introduced into civilization, finally coming to his senses and joining the PSO/36N team.

Sara Hiebert
Production Coordinator
As an avid Jets fan, Sara proudly wears her jersey on game days. We like to think of her as the coach of our team – she keeps everyone on task and on schedule to ensure a win. She likes grammar, is detail-oriented and doesn’t allow little mistakes; she has an army of tools at her fingertips to keep the proofreading at the top of the league. Sara tackles all jobs with the same intensity as a seasoned playoff veteran, leaving a trail of sticky notes with detailed instructions in her wake.
Sara has nearly 20 years of experience in the printing industry. Having started when it was known as Martens Printing, she’s embraced the dramatic changes along the way; seeing the darkroom where film was once developed give way to new technology and production techniques.

Kyla Meilleur
Estimating & Client Services
Kyla’s nickname is ‘Care Bear’, and if we have to pick one trait to describe her, it’d be: ‘Positive Energy’. With her infectious smile, Kyla is a blur around the office often gathering and recording all the details required to estimate and start on new projects.
She loves spending quality time with her family (husband and two boys) where the possibilities of fun are endless and include everything from bike rides to making water slides to gardening, doing crafts, and even some competitive video gaming together.
Kyla loves baking (primarily to share some baked treats with others), and tackling various DIY projects to make their home welcoming for friends and family to visit – yes she has been caught talking to her indoor plants encouraging them to stay healthy.

Timothy Penner
Operations Manager
Tim is the one behind the scenes enabling the rest of us to effectively do our work. He has a knack for thinking through workflow and processes and finding slick tools and apps to allow us to collaborate and use our workstations efficiently. His unique skillset includes the physical woodworking and carpentry involved in building many of our workstations, while also commissioning the IT network infrastructure behind it all.
After graduating Jamestown College with a Business degree while on a baseball scholarship, Tim and his wife Shana felt called to Uganda, Africa where they spend 7+ years working with Amazima Ministries and ultimately building and opening The Amazima School. He served as their Business Manager, and the Director of Information and Media.
When Tim’s not at work, he is kept busy by his 3 year old daughter Charlee, renovating their house, and spending time with friends and family. A fun fact about Tim is that while he’s afraid of heights, he has visited the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

Kevin Funk
Designer
With his chair permanently set on a low-rider slouch position, multitasking takes on a whole new level with Kevin. When he gets in from seeing his kids off at school, he quickly has both digital presses humming while simultaneously working on the next design job and sharing some photo editing pointers.
With over 20 years of experience at PSO, Kevin is the strong, silent type. He takes amazing photographs for our clients and what he doesn’t say in words, he communicates through the photos he takes and the designs he creates.
When asked what he likes to do for fun, he replied, “I’ll get back to you on that.” We’re still waiting, but have a pretty good guess that camping with his family, hiking, watching hockey or playing board games would make the list.

Shelly Poetker
Digital Marketing
Shelly works with our clients to help define their big picture goals, and develop targeted digital campaigns that deliver results. As a professional multi-tasker, Shelly balances a career, school, and commuting as part of her daily life as she finishes up her B. Comm from the Asper School of Business and has earned her Google Ad certifications. With a passion for marketing and supporting local business she feels right at home at PSOne.
In her spare time, you can find Shelly tending to her large (read: excessive ) tropical plant collection and spending time with her pet parrot. Don’t be surprised if she whips out her phone to show you her latest installment of parrot selfies!

Alex Lindsay
Web Developer
Even with a 30-minute drive in the morning, Alex arrives at Print Studio One sooner than most. She works closely with the design team to turn their ambitious vision for a client website into a reality, often using her multiple language coding/programming skills to help it take off. Even after completing University, Alex’s education didn’t stop there. Keeping up with the latest technology and design trends are a true passion in her life.
At our daily team huddle, she is excited to share her latest camping adventure or provide an update on the success of her garden. Besides having a green thumb, you can find Alex either off-roading and fishing with her boyfriend or taking a break to play with her crazy cat Charlie.

Sam Toews
Sign & Vehicle Decal Specialist
Sam is responsible for wide format printing and installation, including signage and vehicle decals as a 3M trained installer.
There isn’t a speck of dust or roll of material that’s out of place when Sam is on the job — in fact, his organized area resembles a surgical operating suite, complete with labeled drawers for his knives and tweezers.
His precision approach ensures a high-quality product while his athletic ability and 6’4″ height come in handy when he’s installing billboards. It’s up for debate if he’s ever used a ladder.
As a newlywed, Sam has Shayna to enjoy his favorite pastimes with dirt biking and surfing and playing competitive volleyball.

Lois Penner
Client Services & Administration
Lois wears many hats at the office, such as wife, mother, client services leader and co-owner. She’s never caught without her morning coffee and toast with peanut butter as she systematically invoices her way through completed work. She can be found greeting most customers on a first-name basis, cheerleading staff events, and handing out the coveted office supplies.
Another one of Lois’ important tasks in the week is picking up snacks for Friday Coffee Break. If you see her chasing down the courier drivers, it’s to offer them a cookie or muffin for the road.
Yet with all that Lois has to do in a day, she will drop everything when her granddaughter Charlee is ready to FaceTime from Uganda.

Brendan Giesbrecht
Estimating & Client Services
Brendan is one of the calm voices and welcoming faces you’ll see if you give us a call or stop by the office. His branding intuition is an asset as he guides clients through the initial steps of a project.
In the evenings you can probably find Brendan in his home studio playing guitar, constantly tweaking his pedalboard in search of new lead tones, and working through setlists for upcoming worship nights at church. Little known fact; while only in his twenties, he’s nearly reached guitar collector status.
When not riffing on one of his Fender Stratocasters or picking on his Martin HD-28, Brendan also enjoys riding his motorcycle and dirt bike whenever he finds time.

Tena Klassen
Print Finishing Specialist
Practically every print job that ships out our doors have passed through Tena’s hands. She is often a blur of activity – either driving our ‘green bullseye’ delivery van around town, or working with extreme efficiency to the beat of her favorite hip-hop hit.
With an easy-going and friendly personality, Tena is always ready to go the extra mile.
At times Tena reminds us of Wonder Woman as she is able to keep a balance between work and her home where together with Rod, they raise their three teenage daughters.

Dave Penner
General Manager
Dave is a true entrepreneur having run a number of different businesses before acquiring Print Studio One some 15 years ago with his wife and business partner Lois.
Dave is our team captain, leading us forward and often anticipating our next step as an organization.
When he’s not looking at purchasing a new piece of equipment or implementing technology solutions, he can often be found using his woodworking skills from his cabinet making days to build us custom workstations.
The summers allow Dave to ride his ‘boda boda’ motorbike to work and enjoy ‘yard-work Thursday’ – maintaining their yard where he and Lois find much comfort and relaxation together.

Rod Klassen
Pressroom Lead
Rod has redefined the meaning of being resourceful. Every day he puts his creativity to work whether running one of our printing presses or keeping all our equipment running smoothly. If you ever doubt his innovative spirit, look no further than all the custom hoists and pully systems he’s designed – we even have a retractable green screen thanks to Rod!
It’s clear he loves coming up with new solutions, and with three daughters at home, we’re sure he gets to practice creative problem solving on a regular basis. His latest project involves retrofitting a retired U-Haul into a customized camper for his family (yes, it’s even complete with draw bridge access).

Kody Cavers
Designer
Kody is a Communication/UI Designer with a hint of CSS and HTML kind of person. He starts the day off right with a hot cup of coffee or most likely with two. He is usually the first one on the road before any of his coworkers driving his 35-minute commute into work every day. Kody grew up interested in technology and design spending hours behind the screen, creating and taking apart computers from a young age. He pursued his love of design by attending Red River College’s Graphic Design program. He wasn’t done learning and took the advanced program of Communication Design where he learned motion graphics and UI/UX design.
Care for the community
We believe business is about more than just making a profit — it’s an opportunity to make a difference. We’re guided by the Golden Rule, treating others how we’d like to be treated, and strive to give back whenever possible. Here are a few of the great organizations we’re proud to support as they improve communities both locally and internationally.
