Established in 1989, WS Steel is a supplier of choice and a Tier 1 OEM fabricator with an ability to manufacture high volume and large-scale steel products across a wide range of industries.

As a rapidly growing manufacturer, the biggest challenge WS Steel faced was growing their brand and communications as the scope of their operations grew. Additionally, attracting and retaining a large workforce is of upmost importance to keep their operation running smoothly.

Their name and visual identity was refreshed from WS Machining and Fabrication to WS Steel to better encompass their growing capabilities. To assist with scaling their communications, Three-Six North Marketing was engaged to provide marketing management support. Through this partnership, a formalized brand standard document was created, a quarterly employee newsletter was developed to improve communications, new print collateral was deployed to the sales team, along with a 25th anniversary event which included a history wall timeline to commemorate the milestone.

WS Steel’s communicates are now representative of the true identity and capabilities that they have. They have also become known in the community as an employer of choice. Staff are actively engaged through the quarterly newsletter and often submit articles and respond to company polls. Through these new communications many individuals within the industry are realizing for the first time the size and scope of the WS operation.
